Another nine Australian companies were offered commercialisation grants worth in total $4.6 million under the Australian Government's Entrepreneurs’ Programme, which these new grants included has supported 126 Australian businesses with $66.7 million.
Sydney-based Stormseal’s weather protection system is among the recipients, being offered $450,000 for its polyethylene film product that provides secure, temporary protection from wind, rain and hail after catastrophic weather events or during construction.
Founded by builder-inventor Matthew Lennox, the product was featured in The New Inventors Program in 2014.
The material is claimed to be a cheaper, lighter and more weather-resistant alternative to tarpaulin.

- Core Resources Pty Ltd ($986,644) develops a new hydrometallurgical technology, the Toowong Process, which enables mining operations to remove arsenic and other deleterious elements in mine products.
- Clipchamp Pty Ltd (499,120) develops client side in-browser video processing for consumers and businesses;
- Granular Products Pty Ltd ($217,500) develops a herbicidal formulation manufacturing, field demos and market planning.
- Oilpath Hydraulics Pty Ltd ($774,445) develops the Oilpath BADGER impact hammer auger and screw piling tool.
- Social Media Status Pty Ltd (200,414) develops a social media analytics platform for measuring the business value of social media.
- StarVac Systems Pty Ltd ($260,000) develops an dvanced vacuum packaging technology for the food industry.
