The Australian Government has announced 3000 students, professionals and researchers who were awarded 2017 Endeavour Scholarships, Fellowships and Mobility Grants.

The Endeavour scheme supports Australians to undertake study, research or professional development overseas. It also provides funding for overseas citizens to do the same in Australia.

In the 2016 Endeavour funding round, 67 Australian tertiary institutions will be offered funding support for 2800 students to undertake Endeavour Mobility projects across 64 locations in Australia or overseas.

In addition, 278 students, professionals and researchers will receive support for professional development, study or research in Australia or overseas.

The Australian Government has also announced grants under a 10 year sponsorship arrangement between the Australian Government and the Cheung Kong Group. Cheung Kong is one of the largest property developers in Hong Kong, with businesses in 52 countries and $12 billion invested in Australia in areas of energy, telecommunications, transport, port and bio-technology. The awarded funding under the arrangement includes 10 Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships, and a further 350 grants for students to join the Endeavour Cheung Kong Student Exchange Program.

Under the New Colombo Plan, the Australian Government will also provide Australia Awards to emerging leaders from overseas who want to study in Australia and our region.
