Shrinking the digital gap

November 2018

Infosys Limited, an Indian multinational corporation providing business consulting, information technology and business services, has announced it will establish three Innovation Hubs in Australia by 2020.

The company says that its initiative is to accelerate digital leadership for its business clients and to shrink the digital skills gap in the region.

The new hubs and closer ties with academia will help the company to attract graduate talent and accelerate digital skill building in Australia amid rising demand for expertise in areas like machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), user experience, cyber security, digital platforms, big data and cloud.

Infosys was established in 1981 and has since developed into a global juggernout. It became the first IT company from India to be listed on the US NASDAQ, and now has more than 225 thousand employees across 45 countries, with a market capitalisation of around US$ 40 billion.
